PRACTICE & RESPONSIBILITY

Our approach, and our limits.

Our standards describe how we intend to approach recruitment conversations. They are not claims of agency accreditation, government approval or a signed university relationship.

The commitments behind our approach.

International education involves substantial academic, financial and personal consequences. Our public-facing information should remain accurate and make it easy to identify institutional decision-makers.

01

Accuracy before persuasion

We will distinguish official university requirements from general guidance. We will not fabricate institutional partnerships, admission outcomes, scholarships, student testimonials or performance statistics.

02

Written authority before representation

We will not call ourselves a university's appointed recruitment agent without the institution's approval and documented terms. Program scope, territory, branding and compensation should be agreed first.

03

Student choice and cost transparency

Students should understand official tuition information, funding conditions, application rules and any agreed service fees before choosing a route. Direct applications remain an option.

04

Consent and proportionate data collection

We ask only for basic enquiry details at first contact. We do not treat a contact request as permission to forward a student's personal data to an institution.

05

Know the limits of advice

Admission and scholarship decisions are made by their issuing organizations. Immigration advice or representation may be regulated; we do not claim such authorization.

06

Accountability and correction

Claims about services and affiliations should be checked before publication. Contact us if you believe an OpenSTEM statement is inaccurate or uses information incorrectly.

INDEPENDENT REFERENCE MATERIAL

The guidance that informs this design.

External resources are provided so universities and students can examine applicable standards themselves. Linking to them does not mean we are accredited by these organizations.

These sources are not an exhaustive legal checklist for every country or university. Institution-specific requirements and locally applicable laws still need independent review.

A CONVERSATION IS THE START

Better decisions begin with clearer questions.
